{"id":517,"date":"2017-01-21T07:15:42","date_gmt":"2017-01-21T07:15:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/recipes.morgeneggweb.com\/?p=517"},"modified":"2017-01-21T07:15:42","modified_gmt":"2017-01-21T07:15:42","slug":"springling-cookies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes.morgeneggweb.com\/?p=517","title":{"rendered":"Springling Cookies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This recipe was created by: <span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Great Grandpa Adolph Jurgens (1839-1913, from Rehna, Mecklenburg-Schwerin, Germany, died in San Diego, California)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Beat until fluffy:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">6 eggs<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">1 pound powdered sugar (approx. 4 cups)<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">Add:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2 teaspoons baking powder<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">1 teaspoon lemon juice<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">2 \u00bd \u2013 3 cups flour<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Arial,sans-serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\">This is a stiff dough. Roll out on a floured surface. Cut. Leave on anise seed covered cookie sheet overnight, covered with a cloth towel.
