{"id":498,"date":"2016-05-26T22:43:04","date_gmt":"2016-05-26T22:43:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/recipes.morgeneggweb.com\/?p=498"},"modified":"2016-05-26T22:43:04","modified_gmt":"2016-05-26T22:43:04","slug":"judys-hot-and-spicy-italian-drip-beef","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes.morgeneggweb.com\/?p=498","title":{"rendered":"Judy&#8217;s Hot and Spicy Italian Drip Beef"},"content":{"rendered":"<div dir=\"ltr\">Ingredients:<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">2 T olive oil<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">2 whole Chuck Roasts (2 1\/2 to 3 pounds each)<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Salt and Pepper<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">32 ounces, fluid Beef Stock<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">1 can 28 ounce Crushed Tomatoes<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">1 jar (16 ounce) Pepperoncinis, with juice<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">1 jar (16 ounce) Hot Cherry Peppers, drained<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">2 jars (4 ounces each) Pimentos<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">6-8 Rolls<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Provolone Cheese<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over high heat. \u00a0Salt and Pepper the roasts on both sides and then sear each roast until golden brown. \u00a0About1 1\/2 minutes on each side. \u00a0Remove meat to a plate \u00a0and set aside. \u00a0Reduce heat to medium and pour the Beef Stock in the pan to get all of thegoodness from the meat.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">Put the Beef Stock and all of the ingredients \u00a0down to the rolls, into a Crock Pot and cook until the meat falls apart when you touch it. \u00a0I cooked themeat we had for about 6-7 hours. \u00a0I had it on high for the first four hours and then turned it to low. \u00a0I think you can figure on 6 hours. \u00a0If you have timeit is good to let it stand in the fridge for several hours to allow the fat to harden at the surface. \u00a0Use a spoon to scoop out the hardened fat. \u00a0(Some fatis okay.) \u00a0Then heat it up again on the stove top.<\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\"><\/div>\n<div dir=\"ltr\">When the meat is heated again remove the roasts to a cutting board. \u00a0Use two forks to shred it into big chunks, then return the meat to the cooking liquid.\u00a0 Serve on deli rolls with cheese melted on top. \u00a0You can also put peppers on the cheese, depending on what people want.
