Bring mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.\u00a0 Cover, reduce heat and let simmer for 20 minutes. Add shrimp and cook for an additional 5 to 7 minutes, or until shrimp are pink.<br \/>\nJambalaya Mix:<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1 cup long-grain rice<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3 tablespoons dried minced onion<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1 tablespoon beef bouillon granules<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1\/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1\/2 teaspoon garlic powder<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1\/2 teaspoon ground black pepper<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1\/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1\/4 teaspoon salt<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1 bay leaf<br \/>\nIn a small bowl, combine rice, onion, parsley, beef bouillon, thyme, garlic powder, black pepper, cayenne pepper, salt, and bay leaf.\u00a0 Pour into cellophane bag.
