{"id":143,"date":"2009-01-01T23:27:56","date_gmt":"2009-01-01T23:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/recipes.morgeneggweb.com\/?p=143"},"modified":"2009-01-01T23:27:56","modified_gmt":"2009-01-01T23:27:56","slug":"scones","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/recipes.morgeneggweb.com\/?p=143","title":{"rendered":"Scones"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3 cups whole wheat flour<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 1 tablespoon dry yeast<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3 cups high gluten flour<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2 cups warm water<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3 tablespoons vegetable oil<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 3 tablespoons honey<br \/>\n\u2022\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 2 scant teaspoons salt<br \/>\nSift 3 cups whole wheat flour into a large bowl.\u00a0 Add dry yeast, and gluten flour.\u00a0 Stir with a wooden spoon to mix well.\u00a0 Add water, and mix until slightly lumpy but all wet.\u00a0 For lighter bread, cover bowl, and let dough sponge for 10 minutes.\u00a0 Add oil, honey and salt.\u00a0 Add flour in bowl until too hard to stir, then pour on lightly floured board to knead in rest of flour.\u00a0 Knead at least 12 to 15 minutes or until dough is smooth and elastic.<br \/>\nPreheat oven to 150 o during this time.\u00a0 Lightly oil hands.\u00a0 Divide dough into 18 to 20 equal portions.\u00a0 Shape into scones and place on greased pans.\u00a0 Turn off oven.
